You grow up wanting to do many things as a child and some of the top ones are of course the ones you would expect them to be. Below are a few thoughts on what children wanted to be when they were older.

Doctor

This is most certainly one of the main ones out there and it actually often comes from the fact that it is one of the games that kids used to play during pre-school and first school. It was so easy to pretend to be a doctor with the fantastic plastic stethoscope and syringes every kit seemed to come with.

Businessperson

Believe it or not there are people out there that always thought they would grow up to be an entrepreneur and it could be why they went on to become one. Kids are always thinking of crazy, sometimes brilliant ideas. This means that when put in front of a business scenario or something like this they will just make up that they are trying to sell the product to someone. Some of the craziest products mentioned in this include foundation fieldbus, level transmitters, toothbrushes, planes and the weirdest one was actually pressure transmitters.

Other Services

The main other ones that seem to come into the fray of things is all of the other services like policeperson, paramedic and firefighter and this is because like the Doctor, they all have their various sets out there and it is something that children find it very easy to get into.

On top of these ideas, there were the usual ones that include the fantastic space astronaut, a waiter in a busy restaurant, and a vet, pretty much the normal ones you would expect from youngsters.

So although the list is not exhaustive, here are just some of the careers that children dreamed about when they were younger, I wonder how many of them actually achieved their dream?
